Carbon steel 90 degree elbow is the most commonly used pipe fitting in pipeline system. There are two types of this elbow, long radius (1.5D) and short radius (1D). And it has many dimensions, wall thickness, raw materials and referenced standards. Please see the below table.

Some datas about carbon steel 90 degree elbow

Carbon steel LR 90 degree elbow

LR means long radius R=1.5D, D is the short name of dimension of elbow. Long radius elbow is usually applied to connect two pipes or tubes, which can help to change the direction of fluid in the pipeline. The long radius 90 degree elbow is the most commonly used pipe fitting in the pipeline with high temperature and high flow rate.

Carbon steel SR 90 degree elbow

SR means short radius R=1D which also means the diameter and radius of 90 degree elbow is equivalent. Short radius elbow usually the low pressure pipeline or the places are confined when installed. However, the long radius elbow is preferred if there are no confined conditions or not specified in the contract.

The packaging of pipe elbow

  1. Plywood Case and Pallet or according to customers’ requests.

2). For small size fittings from 1/2″ to 11/2″, firstly packing in cartons then put them on plywood pallets.

Delivery period: 10-15 days for LCL, 25-45days for FCL.
